The "Borg of Jamz". Go to track 10 from the link below and try to explain to him that when we say, "the music played the band," this is what it sounds like. Must have patience though grasshopper. This mind warped instrumental slowly builds up before the final seven minute nirvana like crescendo, which leaves you in utter awe at the telepathic improvisational skills this quartet is pulling off here. Phil tells the audience earlier in the show, that they are really just "clever androids" right before Birdsong kicks off, so they must have been feeling really in synch with each other this evening. At the peak of their game, in my humble opinion. Think this jam is on the So many roads box, but I like this matrix version as well. If you can, go to about the 13:04 mark. Bill kick starts the base drum and then he and Keith find a groove, Phil and Jerry then pick up on it and just destroy it for the next seven minutes before drifting into a stunning Wharfrat. Seven minutes of heaven. If he gets this, he might "get" the dead. Good luck.
